Hereford Rugby Football Club should have celebrated our 150th anniversary during the 2019 / 2020 season. However, the major floods of February 2020 and then the COVID pandemic stopped this from happening. A whole year of little or no rugby. The clubhouse out of use for all of that time too.

We were fortunate enough to receive lots of financial support to rebuild and improve our clubhouse facilities. Couple this with a lot of volunteer man-hours from several very skilled members. With additional support from not so skilled, but very willing helpers, we have been able to revamp the building completely!

Since our transformation, the club now boasts new facilities which can cater for a range of occasions.

The main function room is available to hire from parties and weddings to wakes and meetings.

It has the capacity to seat 100 on our new club chairs and tables, whilst there is a greater ability to accommodate standers, chatters and dancers! Our modern clubhouse now has access to brand new Wi-Fi, USB charge points and television screens.

Furthermore, the redevelopments have enabled us to upgrade the committee suite — a smaller, more reserved room for business and private meetings.

The club is now able to provide food for all events thanks to our new on-site full-time chef. We can now cater for a range of occasions and number of customers. Also, we can do this to individual preference. Talking to customers about what they might like to see on a particular menu. We can provide different options for cuisine. This includes buffet, nibbles, canapes and course meals. In addition, with notice, we are able to cook to specific dietary requirements. Furthermore, we offer a fully-staffed bar with hire of the function room. We can provide all types of refreshments, from beers and wines to local ciders and a vast selection of soft drinks, teas and coffees.

Our meeting-specific room is also fully equipped with Wi-Fi, charge-points and a TV screen, as well as a coffee machine. In addition to these, the club now boasts a new laptop, iPad and printer should extra technology be needed.

All facility-hire includes use of the club car park which can over 100 vehicles, an ideal location with limited parking in surrounding areas, as well as the club toilets.

Wyeside is situated on the banks of the River Wye with stunning views of the Hereford Cathedral and ample parking space. We are delighted to be able to offer a beautifully refurbished venue to come together as you reminisce over the loss of your loved ones. Whether it be a quiet afternoon tea or celebratory party. We can accommodate any size of function or event and can adapt our space to meet your needs. Our main function room can seat 100 people with additional space on our balcony.
