Last Saturday the scene was set for what could have been the most perfect day for rugby at Wyeside. The sun was in the sky. The boys were back at the fortress and a full day of Champions Cup rugby scheduled on TV. It couldn’t have been planned better! But alas however, the dreaded phone call came. We informed that due to the lack of opposition numbers would scupper all our best laid plans.
This Saturday is our penultimate game of 2019. The 1st XV and 2nd XV are on the fun bus travelling back up the A49 to Stourton Park where they play against the Lions for the first time this season. Hereford took the spoils last season both home and away but both teams are wanting to bounce back after losses in their last games. Furthermore, this should make for an interesting afternoon of rugby.
As we head into the festive season we take a look at the points leader board to see if we have any clear front runners for this first half of the season.
Ho Ho Ho is in the running for top spot? Guesses in the comments box.
There will be a coach available to travel to Stourbridge on Saturday with limited seats available for travelling supporters on a first come first serve basis, please contact Robin Davies on: 07879 626870 or email on bigdavy35@gmail.com for availability. It is booked to leave the Art College car park at 11.15am with a meet time of 11.00am. Fingers crossed for a great day of rugby for all involved!
I certainly do not want any of those three coming down my chimney !
